Season 3, Episode 7 - Unified Intramural Sports with Jaison, Hayli, and Fernando

Hayli and Jaison both play on the University of Iowa Unified Basketball team and are heading to the Special Olympics USA Games to represent their school on the hardwood. Fernando is an intramural sports student official at the University of Texas at San Antonio and will be joining Hayli and Jaison at the USA Games as he has been selected to officiate basketball.  All three join the Inclusion Revolution Radio podcast to discuss how Unified Intramural Sports have impacted their individual athletic journeys.

In honor of World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st, Liz Plachta, the founder of Ruby’s Rainbow, and her daughter Ruby Plachta who has Down syndrome joined Inclusion Revolution Radio. Haylie McCleney of USA Softball joins the Inclusion Revolution Radio podcast to discuss the partnership between Special Olympics and USA Softball.  Her career includes two World Championship gold medals and a silver medal with Team USA at the Tokyo Olympics. Today, Haylie continues her passion for sports as the strength and conditioning coach at Florida A&M.
